To the brick wall

Your music could probly use some equalising, although it might be the fact theres a brick wall standing inbetween me and the sound comming out :p
Nice lyrics / effects on them, though about halfway though the song it starts breaking up the lyrics a little too much. Keep up the submissions !

Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more. The original version of this song was even worse (for a contest using only a pre-defined set of samples), I beefed up the bass (which was originally pretty thin), did SOME EQ, and a lot of compression. the effect was light-years better, but still a bit muddled and drowning vox near the end. 7/10 is more than kind there :)

i do think "heaven" came out the best, mix-wise, even though I think the vocals are trite ;) "overflow" is a bit bass heavy, but still way better mix-wise, also.

Some nice riffs in here, though the snare build ups sound a little out of tune and are used a little too often.

The overall quality of the track however is very low, the bass line is not a very nice sound at all, but hell we all start somewhere, keep practicing, keep producing and keep submitting :)

Not bad work

Good sound quality, chilled out, decent submission and something i can tap my foot too =P Although at the 2min mark some kind of odd flickering sound makes an appearance paned onto the left channel that doesnt quite sound fitting n my opinion.

Needs a compressor

Needs a compressor on that bass line, its overloading and distorting the rest of the track. I like the work on the drums though and the bass has potential.

I think with the right use of equalisers and some nice effects this song could sound alot better than it does presently. Keep up the effort though - check out some of my material and if you would like to have a chat add [e-mail] to your msn, maybe i can help you out a bit there :)

As I said before, I don't usually go for those samples, they're just the sounds I wanted for it. I don't think I'll rework this, I've already set it aside and started new stuff, and I'm not disappointed in how it turned out, but thanks for your comments, it's something I'll keep in consideration for future projects.
